This weekend I was blessed enough to attend the American Field and Made in Brooklyn Holiday Market at Industry City in Brooklyn. This is a new design-shopping event which partnered with the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce. Both events celebrate the undeniable quality of American-made goods, featuring clothing, goods and accessories – as well as music, food, live demos and workshops.
Surround Yourself With The Dreamers, Doers & Believers
I quested to the Holiday Market to get a feel for the environment as I plan to be part of the next American Field event in Brooklyn mid next year. This event not only gave me an idea of what to expect, but also awarded me with a surge of passionate fuel. As I have mentioned in previous posts, passion is contagious. The entrepreneurial enthusiasm and spirit was at an all time high. I left the event with new perspectives and fresh connections of others on their entrepreneurial journey. A special thank you to all who put American Field and Made in Brooklyn Holiday Market together, what an inspiring day.
A Holiday Reminder
The holidays are sneaking up on us and I want to remind you to think twice when planning your gifts this year. Instead of spending money on a bland gift certificate to a major retailer, perhaps look into some local-owned businesses for a more genuine, unique gift. Choosing to buy local will support a passionate brand that is creating a will, a way, jobs and opportunities.
