Business in Sweatpants
This morning I engaged in a FaceTime meeting (what I like to call collaboration session) with my step-brother to bounce some business plans off of each other. We have two separate goals, two separate missions, two separate visions – but one sure thing in common: We want to make an impact. The best part is we got to strategize our impact in sweatpants. Have I mentioned I love technology?
The Importance of Collaboration
Our session gave me a friendly reminder of how important collaboration is on your journey, and why I need to add more of it to my weekly schedule. Brainstorming with those on the same or different paths will lead to fresh and innovative ideas. He taught me things, I taught him things.
He provided me with new concepts and book recommendations. I provided him with some guidance of what I have learned so far including the importance of having a blog, building his tribe, and having a website/mobile responsive website. Our wealth of knowledge was reciprocated allowing us to both become more valuable in an hour’s time. The growth is exponential.
A mind that is stretched by a new experience can never go back to its old dimensions. -Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr.
Passion Ignites Passion
The excitement and drive of other motivated people is like fuel to my flame. Enthusiasm has the tendency to be contagious, and it makes you want to push harder than ever before. A 5-minute conversation can spark a brand new, grueling flame of an idea. One you may have never thought of without having your conversation. When you are pursuing what you love, doubts and fears can make an appearance. Surrounding yourself with other dedicated souls on fire will morph those doubts and fears into passion.

Let’s spark some flames.
